Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia Big Aussie Barbie 2017

23rd October, 2017

Kane Constructions are avid supporters of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia’s (PCFA) annual ‘Big Aussie Barbie’ fundraiser.

In Australia, 54 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every day and tragically, nine a day do not survive.

More men die of prostate cancer than women die of breast cancer however the fundraising, media coverage, awareness and research efforts are tiny in comparison.

In September, Kane invited all of our Victorian sites to dust off their hotplates for this very worthwhile cause.

In total, our teams raised over $10,000, with donations and proceeds raised from each site going to the PCFA to fund their efforts in providing awareness, break-through research, information and support to men and their families affected by prostate cancer.

Thank you to all teams who got involved and hosted a barbie, particularly our RACV Cape Schanck Team (pictured) who raised the highest amount.

A special thank you to the Board of Directors who generously matched every dollar raised.
