Maranou Regional Council has awarded the contract to build the Mitchell Multi Purpose Health Service (MPHS) facility to Kane Constructions.
The $3 million facility is located in the town of Mitchell in South West Queensland -approximately 580 kilometres west of Brisbane.
Mayor Robert Loughnan said the council was impressed with the Kane's extensive experience and comprehensive submission.
"The price put forward by Kane Constructions was within the overall cost plan for the project," Cr Loughnan said.
"As well as submitting a financially viable proposal, Kane Constructions also proved to have the necessary experience with construction work as a whole and also with health and aged care construction."
Cr Loughnan said Kane demonstrated a record of supporting local industry, business and training in the regions in which they operated.
Designed by StruXi, construction work will begin by the end of the year.
