New projects with Department of Defence

Kane Constructions has been awarded two contracts by Department of Defence.
The DSTO New test Facility located at Fishermans Bend in Melbourne will support research programs undertaken by the Air Vehicles Division and Maritime Platforms Division relating to engine and alternate power source management (fuel purification systems and aircraft and maritime engine fuel components such as batteries, fuel cells, hydrogen engine systems). The design team comprises Architectus and Aecom.
The Monageeta Tilt Table Facility comprises construction a facility housing a 26 metre long tilt table with a 70 tonne payload capacity. The system is capable of testing vehicles comprising of wheeled vehicles including passenger cars as well as trucks and trailers (up to B-double in size), military vehicles including recovery and protected mobility vehicles and laden 20ft and 40ft ISO Containers. The design team comprises Vipac and Magryn & Associates.
Kane is working with Jacobs on both projects with works commencing early in the New Year.
