The Hon Tony Abbott, Prime Minister of Australia, today formally opened the new $115 million RACV Torquay Resort in Victoria (link to speech).

The striking facility provides exemplary leisure and conference facilities for members and the public, including a 92 room five-star hotel, 18 hole golf course, indoor swimming pool, day spa, gymnasium, gaming facilities, restaurant, conference facilities and bar and lounge areas.

With expansive views of Torquay and Jan Juc beaches, the highlight of the 24,000m2 curved building is its rammed earth walls which will allow the building to thermally regulate itself for year-round comfort.

Kane Constructions delivered this landmark project designed by Wood Marsh three months ahead of program and is proud to have teamed with local subcontractors and suppliers, along with our substantial local direct workforce to complete the works.
