Basil Stafford Farm Wards

Kane Property Services recently completed a full asbestos roof replacement on almost 5,000m2 of the heritage-listed Basil Stafford Farm Wards Building at Wacol, Brisbane.
In addition, 4,500m2 of internal ceilings and floor coverings have also been replaced inside the building which was once part of the Wolston Park Special Hospital.
Being vacant for several years created several challenges for the Kane Property Services team including removal of numerous snakes of all sizes and species.
The site crew commenced the project with demolition of the asbestos roofing on the first wing during August 2015.
Services have been upgraded, and the site will be deemed asbestos free, ready for the new internal fitout to commence once a final use for the building is determined by the client.
