Delivered under a lump sum contract, the Latrobe CHC in Morwell in regional Victoria is a new two level, 4500m2 facility providing direct care services including allied health, community health promotion, district nursing, palliative care, dental, as well as corporate and administration functions.
Kane Constructions was awarded the $16 million contract in 2009 with the facility being opened to the public in 2010.
The project was staged to enable the existing centre to remain operational. Staff were then relocated in to the new facility with the original building being demolished to make way for a new on grade carpark.
