This project involved the building works associated with the construction of a new brewery located within the former Valley Mills site in Geelong.
Kane Constructions was engaged by Little Creatures to undertake the building works and coordinate the installation of $45 million of brewing equipment (supplied and installed by a specialist German company called Krones).
The Kane scope of works comprised Internal fit-out and alterations to three triple skin red brick industrial buildings built in the 1920's. Works also included a site wide fire hydrant, electrical and Occupant Warning system upgrade.
The fit-out included structural modifications, services upgrades and construction of new plant spaces including the temporary removal of the roof over a three storey atrium for the installation of brewing equipment. Other features include three new large format cool rooms totalling 1,775m2 for storage of brewing material & product, and two new computer/data rooms with gas fire suppressions systems.
Works were completed over a twelve month duration with an extremely high level of services coordination and design using BIM.
