Designed by Shellshear Young, The Corrimal Medical Centre was awarded to Kane in late 2015, as a lump sum contract.
Operated by Primary Health Care, the works included the construction of a general practice clinic, a dental care surgery, and pathology, diagnostic imaging and specialist care rooms. A state-of-the-art skin clinic and in-house pharmacy complete the centre’s impressive offering. The build also included parking that accommodates for up to 60 vehicles.
Located on a 5000m2 site, the single level steel framed centre has a floor area of approximately 1400sq. Features of the works include elements of a towering glazed brick façade and a solar sensitive operable louvre system .
At the time of completion, the refurbishment and extension of the centre was Kane's 16th construction contract with Primary Health Care in the past 10 years.
