Renovation and expansion of a heritage listed sports pavilion located adjacent the main oval at the University of Melbourne.
Kane Constructions was awarded the $5 million lump sum contract in early 2012.
The existing pavilion was built in 1906 and is heritage listed. The project involves the refurbishment of the original elements of the pavilion, demolition of an extension built in the 1950's and construction of a new expansion to house a function room, bar & kiosk, commercial kitchen, club kitchen, storage areas, trainers rooms, change rooms, ice baths a long with external seating, deck & BBQ area.
Works were completed ready for use in early 2014.
