Kane was awarded the $14M Lump Sum VCA Police Stables Redevelopment for The University of Melbourne in October 2016.

The scope includes the partial restoration and refit of the existing police stables building.

The completed project will deliver a new performance space, art studios, staff offices, meeting spaces and exhibition spaces for The University.

A small portion of the building will be restored to its original condition. New services will be installed throughout the building.

The Green Star pathway for the project is based on the Design & As Built tool with the goal being to achieve a 5 star rating.

Project Scope

1. Carry out the refurbishment of the stables, octagon and riding school

2. Carry out the installation of new external pavements and a new external canopy

3. Coordinate the installation of the Performance space lighting rig, curtain system and technical equipment

This project will reach practical completion in the first quarter of 2018.
