Kane were awarded the $0.5M Lump Sum LINAC Bunker Fit-out project in late 2015.
The project scope included the fit out an existing cold shell Bunker at the Austin Hospital Olivia Newton John Cancer & Wellness Centre.
Works included the coordination of services rough in, room configuration and in ceiling supports with the hospital suppliers of the Versa HD LINAC machine and Brainlab Exac Trac System.
The works had to be completed within an extremely tight construction timeline to meet with the delivery of the new equipment into Australia from the United States.
Kane successfully completed the refurbishment ahead of time and worked with both Elekta & Brainlab throughout the installation of the new equipment and final commissioning of the new room.
The project was delivered to the hospital for use by staff and patients ahead of time and under budget.
