Bondi Lifeguard Tower
Kane completed the construction of the new Southern end Lifeguard Tower on Bondi Beach at the end of 2001. Tanner Kibble Denton (TKD) were both architect and superintendant for the Waverely Council Project.
Built from light structural steel and concrete slab from the existing promenade level, the exterior of the building consisted of VM Zinc metal roof, louvred windows, with generally hard-wearing / low maintenance finishes to withstand the coastal elements. The stainless steel handrails and balustrade were electro-polished to enhance the rustresistance.
