Kane were awarded the Design & Construct Head Contract for the $5M Department of Defence Land 400 Project in November 2015.
The program aimed to deliver protected mobility and blast systems to the Land Force to support the conduct of mounted close combat.
There are three sites and general works as part of the RMA are as follows:
- Monegeetta: conduct of vehicle performance tests, works include construction of a vehicle shelter and civil works to construct a 'vertical step obstacle', 'side slope obstacle' and 'mud test pit' and parking area upgrades
- Puckapunyal: conduct of user test driving, construction of a vehicle shelter, office and classroom temporary (demountable) facilities, parking area upgrades and hardstands and P&EE
- Graytown: conduct of ballistics and blast testing, construction of a maintenance shelter with 50T gantry crane including road access ways and concrete slab upgrades
The project reached Practical Completion in mid-2016.
