One of Melbourne's leading restaurants located at Crown Casino, Guiseppe Arnaldo & Sons was delivered under a fixed lump sum in 2008.
The $5m fitout comprises exacting standards of finishes including the distinctive hand made terrazzo tiles imported from Italy, the stone table and wall, and the printed interlayer DigiGlass fade.
Works were completed over a nine month period. Access for construction was highly restricted with the 800m2 site being located on the Yarra Promenade under the Kings Way overpass at Crown Casino. Construction works were coordinated such that they did not impact on the existing retail and casino operations.
The theatrical interior was designed by Lazzarini Pickering Architetti in Rome whilst the works were overseen by NH Architecture in Melbourne. GAS won the Best Restaurant Design (The Age Good Food Guide) and the Vision Award at the IES Lighting Awards in 2008.
This is the second project completed by Kane Constructions at Crown Casino having delivered the $6m Food Court in 2007.
