Construction of a new fully enclosed grandstand at Sandown Greyhound Racing Club. First conceived in 1982, the new grandstand was completed and opened in mid-1986.
Kane Constructions was appointed under a lump sum contract. A key feature of the $4 million project was the extensive use of glass which was engineered to be top hung to allow for unimpeded views.
The grandstand also houses entertainment spaces and catering facilities.
