Construction of a three level Innovations Centre comprising five classrooms, office spaces and learning auditorium for the use of Year 5 and Year 6 students at Ivanhoe Grammar School in Melbourne.

The new building structure is supported on 120 bored piers which allowed previously inaccessible land on the campus to be utilised. Access was extremely challenging, particularly for erection of the structural steel frame and pumping of concrete for the suspended slabs.

The Kane Constructions project team liaised closely with the school to ensure minimal disruption to school operations with various elements of the works being undertaken during the holiday periods.

The $4 million lump sum contract reached practical completion in mid 2008 ready for Term 3 of the school year.
