To accommodate forecasted growth in students and staff, the existing Reid Building will undergo a refurbishment to accommodate an adaptive re-use.

The $1 million Lump Sum project prepared the site for the impending state of the art teaching and research facility supported by modern technologies, administration and common spaces to align with industry benchmark standards.

The decanting and enabling works have been a necessary part of the project to fully vacate the Reid Building to accommodate the Main Works in due course.

The Reid Building Adaptive Re-use project Enabling Works involved the following three separable portions. 

Enabling Works Package A (Separable Portion 1): - Refurbishment of BS1 Room 128-25 Person Computer Lab
- Refurbishment of BS1 Rooms 350- 352 to accommodate Flat Floor Teaching Spaces
- Refurbishment of BS2 Rooms 378A, 379A, 379B and 380 to accommodate Flat Floor Teaching Spaces

Enabling Works Package B (Separable Portion 2):
- Refurbishment of LIMS 2, Room 107 to accommodate the Microscopy Unit 

Enabling Works Package C (Separable Portion 3):
- Refurbishment of HS2 Rooms 436 and 439. Minor refurbishment
