McGuinness Centre Extension, Kincoppal School

Delivered by fixed price lump sum after competitive, selected tender. The project was constructed in the heart of the Junior School at Kincoppal.

The works included demolition of existing structures new Steel and FC clad façade, Fitout of 4 science laboratories, numerous teacher offices and support offices. The Project Team successfully completed the project during the school year without loss of amenity or disruptions. Noise and materials handling issues were successfully managed without affecting the schools live-in boarders and day students.

Kane’s Project Team worked in with the school for 'quiet times' during exams and programmed works as necessary during school holidays.

Access to the site presented numerous problems as the site was bound on 3 sides by a steep cliff and existing buildings. Kane installed a scaffold system cantilevered out over the cliff areas to work on the face of the building which was 13 meters off the ground.

Kane completed 2 more projects at the school over holiday periods and this testament to our ability to build long term relationships with our clients.
