This $3m project involved the restoration of over thirty buildings located at the Department of Defence facility at Point Nepean, Portsea.

The works were completed in 2002 following a ten month programme and included a significant amount of hazardous materials removal (consisting mostly of asbestos roof sheeting), structural remediation including re-stumping and the installation of concrete and steel lintels.

Services works included the installation of a new site storm-water network and the making safe of existing electrical installations.

All buildings were repainted following extensive preparation. Facade restoration required replacement of damaged weatherboards, bargeboards and the like to all timber buildings, and the removal of weathered paint and repairs to render to stone and brick buildings.
