The works on this project included supply, installation, testing and commissioning of fume cupboards. Some of the more challenging works required the installation of new 400mm diameter exhaust risers extending 12 stories high on the facade of the building.

The unoccupied storage area on level 1 was converted into two laboratories and a MCD equipped room. These rooms incorporated a new HVAC system, suitable electrical, hydraulic and fire services, a reverse osmosis system and also the necessary safety equipment such as showers and eyewash stations.

Level 4 was adapted to suit the new optical laboratory by relocating a fume cupboards and installing laboratory grade exhaust ductwork and pipework.
