Work has commenced at 201 Castlereagh Street in Sydney.
Kane Constructions was awarded this $12 million lump sum contract in March which involves the refurbishment and expansion of an early twentieth century heritage building to cater for the growth of our client. As well as a full refurbishment of the existing building, a three level contemporary addition will be constructed including commercial offices and others spaces.
The upgrade will provide new lifts, building services, and wet areas as well as a new lobby to refresh the street presentation of the building and address accessibility issues.
Being located on busy Castlereigh Street in the heart Sydney presents a number of challenges with regard to construction logistics. A small tower crane is to be positioned on the roof of the existing building and all deliveries will be carefully coordinated to minimse disruption to the public.
