Works gain momentum on new Defence health centre in ACT and NSW

26th June, 2019

Since the official sod turning in February this year, works on site have gained great momentum on our Defence Joint Health Command projects at Duntroon ACT and Holsworthy NSW.

Kane Constructions will deliver a new 5,220m2 two-storey health building, and refurbish the existing health centre at the Russel Clinic in ACT as well as carry out major refurbishment works to the existing heath centre located at Holsworthy under a Lump Sum contract for the Department of Defence.

Duntroon
A significant milestone was reached last week with the completion and handover of the Stage 1 car park at Duntroon. Works to the main building with piling and in-ground services works are progressing well.

Holsworthy
Works are ahead of schedule, and are on track to reach completion three months ahead of program.

The works at Duntroon and Holsworthy are part of a national Defence roll out of health centres across Australia. The facilities will provide primary health and associated health care to Australian Defence force personnel.

Duntroon is forecast for completion in August 2020 and Holsworthy is forecast for completion in December 2019.
