In December 2018, Kane Constructions was awarded the $4 million Construction Management contract to deliver the 379 Collins Street Extension, Stage 2 project.
The project scope consisted of the construction of an additional level of premium grade office accommodation to the existing 16 level high-rise building in the heart of Melbourne's CBD.
The building remained fully operational during construction and included lift shaft extension (staged), construction of new plant rooms (Level 18), construction of a new lift motor room (Level 19), fire stairwell extension, services riser extension, façade installation and also the demolition and construction of architectural and structural elements, and relocation/installation of major plant and equipment.
The main works reached Practical Completion in December 2019.
