In September 2020, Kane Constructions was awarded the $20 million Design & Construct contract to deliver the Devon St Car Park project.
The project scope included:
- Demolition of the existing on-grade car park
- Relocation of stormwater drain
- Construction of the new 4 level multi-deck car park with 402 car parking spaces
- Safe pedestrian access to/from local transport hubs including Croydon Train Station and Bus Depot
- Safe pedestrian access to/from Main Street, Town Square, and Croydon Community Precinct
- ESD Initiatives including solar power and rainwater collection and re-use
- Targeted 5 Star NABERS rating
- Car charging points for electric vehicles
- Clear wayfinding
- Operational support facilities, including control/security room and cleaner’s stores
- Vertical transport (lift)
- Construction of the new 1,400m² gross lettable area commercial tenancy (single storey), with dedicated entrance and lobby
- Ancillary and support facilities, including kitchenette and communications room
- Toilets and amenities (including accessible)
This project reached Practical Completion in the last quarter of 2021.
