Kane Constructions has been engaged by the Department of Education and Donald Cant Watts Corke to undertake the Design and Construct of a new general learning centre (GLC), performing arts centre (PAC) expansion and trade training centre (TTC) within the operational Glenala State High School campus in Durack.

The new three-storey learning facility will boast five general learning areas, multiple music, drama and dance studios, staff workrooms, student amenities, an undercroft for eight future general learning areas as well as a lift.

The expansion of the Performing Arts Centre will involve the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the current space. Simultaneously, the Trade Training Centre will undergo expansion to accommodate an engineering workshop, a training room, a maker space, a staff room, and an office for the Head of Department.

In addition, the project includes the partial demolition of existing buildings, along with significant civil and groundwork preparations necessary for the construction of the new building.
