Kane Constructions has been engaged under a Design and Construct contract to deliver the Burragunn Building, a new four-storey learning centre at John Paul College in Daisy Hill.
Designed by Deicke Richards Architects, the facility will provide a contemporary education environment that brings together both Primary and Secondary learning spaces within a single building. The design supports a wide range of teaching and learning activities through flexible, adaptable spaces that encourage collaboration, engagement and shared use across year levels.
The Burragunn Building will comprise 16 General Learning Areas (GLAs), two kitchens, two large shared common spaces, a substantial flexible learning area, staff offices and administration areas, and student amenities. The internal layout has been carefully planned to balance collaboration and connectivity with the functional requirements of learning, staff and support spaces, ensuring the building can respond to the College’s evolving educational needs.
As part of John Paul College’s broader campus development strategy, the project will play an important role in supporting current and future enrolment growth. The works are being delivered within a live operational school environment, requiring careful planning and stakeholder coordination to minimise disruption to students, staff and daily school activities. Completion is scheduled for late 2026.
