Kane has completed the construction of the exclusive M3565 beachfront apartments at Main Beach, Gold Coast.

The beachfront structure incorporates a high end industrial design style eight storey, seven apartments building including underground basement car parking.  The building envelope consisted of 100% off form coloured concrete wrapped in pre patina zinc cladding and 40x40 recycled grey ironbark timber screens.

Kane incorporated several aesthetic innovations into the design to provide a better buildability and finish to the overall design intent. Items such as the exposed concrete façade were meticulously planned to ensure the formwork ties were uniform throughout the finished design. Further to this the tie holes were finished in concrete plugs rather than a grout patch to achieve the architect’s industrial intent.

Kane were engaged to design and construct the balustrade and timber façade of the M3565 project. Due to the sheer size and weight of 10mm 316 stainless steel plate balustrading and trims, Kane strategised for the balustrade sections to be craned into place to minimise manual handling and on-site fabrication works.

Each level contains one, high quality finish, premium grade apartment. The penthouse spans the upper two levels, featuring a private rooftop pool.

The building was designed to achieve a 5 Star Green Star rating. This has incorporated, environmentally sustainable materials, solar panels, water storage tank and gas generator.
