Kane Constructions delivered the expansion of Domestic Terminal 3 at Melbourne Airport, including the installation of a new baggage handling system with integrated X-ray screening facilities.
The project also comprised construction of twelve new check-in counters and works associated with the realignment of the airside boundary. Construction was undertaken within a live airport environment, requiring strict adherence to security protocols and careful coordination throughout delivery.
Works commenced in early 2006, with the project completed in March 2007, including a comprehensive commissioning program for the new baggage handling system.
