Kane Constructions has been awarded the construction of the new Mona Vale Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) and Beach Amenities for Northern Beaches Council.
The existing Mona Vale SLSC will be demolished to make way for a two storey family-friendly Mona Vale SLSC constructed to a similar footprint as the existing and includes a 70 seat café and a 90 seat restaurant. The facility will consist features of external precast, Glulam structural timber work, Sculptform screening and extensive timber feature panelling. This material will connect with the natural environment and withstand exposure to the elements.
A new single storey Beach Amenities & Lifeguard Facility will be constructed to replace the existing public amenities. The new amenity facility will comprise male and female toilets, showers and change rooms in separate pavilions with a shared wash hand station and a separate pavilion for the lifeguard and first aid accommodation.
The new Mona Vale Surf SLSC will be fit-for-purpose enabling lifeguards to focus on supporting the community and saving lives.
Project works will commence in April 2021 with the project due to be completed in January 2022.
