Kane Constructions was awarded the Spirit of Tasmania – Passenger Terminal Building in November 2021 under a Design ans Construct contract.
The subject site is located at 136 Corio Quay Road, North Geelong. The development covers approximately 12 hectares and is the marine and passenger terminal for future Spirit of Tasmania operations commencing in 2022.
Spirit of Tasmania chose the site to meet its future growth plans for passenger and freight services between the mainland and Tasmania.
The site provides a new and improved terminal, resulting in overall efficiency in vessel operation, turn-around times and customer experience.
The project reached Practical Completion in mid-2022.
