Kane Constructions has been engaged by St Margaret’s Anglican Girls’ School, in collaboration with RCP and Blight Rayner, to deliver the Design & Construct of the new St Margaret’s Arts Precinct in Ascot, Brisbane.
The purpose-built Performing Arts Precinct forms part of the school’s long-term master planning strategy and will provide contemporary spaces to support both curriculum and extra-curricular arts programs.
Stage 1 includes a 160-seat Recital Hall, 80-seat Black Box Theatre, specialist rehearsal rooms, teaching spaces, staff facilities, broadcast and control rooms, storage areas, basement car parking and associated external works. Delivered across four levels including a basement, the facility has been designed to provide highly specialised internal spaces to support a wide range of music, drama and performance activities through flexible, purpose-built learning environments.
The St Margaret’s Arts Precinct will become a central hub for the school community, supporting learning, collaboration and performance while showcasing student talent and achievement across the arts.
