Kane Constructions secured a $34 million Lump Sum contract with Synnex Australia to deliver a fully automated logistics centre in Western Sydney.
The 15,000m² facility sets a new benchmark in package handling and sorting automation, with capacity to process more than 10,000 inbound and outbound items per day. Designed to support high transaction volumes, the building incorporates advanced technology and communications infrastructure to service over 100 staff, including an in-house call centre managing national distribution and imported goods.
Kane played a key role in coordinating international racking and materials handling contractors, ensuring all overseas equipment complied with Australian Standards and certification requirements. The facility was constructed to tight tolerances to accommodate 30-metre-high racking and conveyor systems, supported by extensive services installations and a high-quality commercial fitout standard throughout.
