Kane Constructions was awarded the Lump Sum contract to deliver the Telstra Divestment project at 288 Exhibition Street, Melbourne.
The project involved the construction of new plant rooms, fire stairs and ventilation shafts to enable the relocation of critical building services within the existing facility.
Following the relocation of services, sections of the building were carefully demolished and a new boundary wall was constructed to separate the retained property from the divested portion of the site.
A significant portion of the works was undertaken within the existing services tunnels located beneath the Melbourne CBD, requiring careful planning and coordination within this constrained underground environment.
