In November 2018, Kane Constructions was awarded the $1 million Lump Sum contact to deliver the Brown and Greenwood Lecture Theatre Merger project at The University of Melbourne.
This project involved the comprehensive refurbishment of the existing Brown and Greenwood Lecture Theatres, merging them into a single, state-of-the-art mega theatre. Key features of the upgrade included:
- A coffered feature ceiling for enhanced acoustics
- Elegant wall paneling with integrated aisle lighting
- Installation of 211 new seats
- State-of-the-art audio-visual (AV) systems
- Complete strip-out and installation of new services
The project achieved Practical Completion in the first quarter of 2019.
