Construction works on the new 17 level Iglu Flagstaff student accommodation building is close to completion.
The new tower that rises through the centre of an existing heritage-listed office building will provide accommodation for up to 362 student residents.
The building features 242 studio apartments and 54 two-bedroom share apartments. There are 12 accessible apartments catering for mobility, hearing, speech and vision impaired.
High-end indoor and outdoor communal spaces and facilities will be available to residents.
Designed to achieve a 5 Star Green Star rating, the new student accommodation tower incorporates a rainwater collection system, a biophilic façade, high performance glazing envelope and extensive use of photovoltaic panels.
The team are powering through construction and works are on track to be completed in mid-2022.
