Supporting future pathways for Melbourne Indigenous Transition School students

6th May, 2025

Kane Constructions has had the privilege of working alongside the Melbourne Indigenous Transition School (MITS)for several years now- an organisation doing incredible work to provide educational opportunities and a supportive environment for young Indigenous students transitioning to an education and life in Melbourne.

Kane has now delivered four projects for MITS, including learning spaces and boarding facilities that help empower the next generation of Indigenous leaders. The completion of the latest project at 283 Church Street marks the latest chapter in Kane’s ongoing involvement with MITS. The newly transformed 283 Church St now features classrooms, focus rooms, a reception, and staff area, designed to accommodate Year 7 and 8 students.

Kane is honoured to play a role in supporting MITS and the bright futures of the students they serve. The construction of these spaces wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our subcontractors and consultants, whose commitment and collaboration continue to make a real difference.

This project reflects a continued collaboration shaped by shared values and stands as a reminder of what can be achieved when purpose-driven partnerships come together to support meaningful outcomes.
