Kane Constructions has completed the $80 million Angliss Hospital Expansion in Ferntree Gully, delivering new and expanded healthcare facilities to support Melbourne’s growing outer eastern suburbs.
The four-storey expansion includes a new 32-bed inpatient unit, four state-of-the-art operating theatres with recovery facilities and an Intensive Care Unit, a Central Sterile Supply Department, endoscopy facilities, allied health services and a gymnasium.
The works also included a new main entry and patient drop-off area, reception, staff car parking, new services infrastructure and external courtyards featuring a playground and central gathering space.
Delivered within the existing operational hospital, the project involved integrating the new building with existing hospital infrastructure, including connections to existing corridors, upgrades to existing lifts and connection to the existing Level 4 link bridge.
The expanded hospital will increase capacity to treat an additional 1,300 patients each year, helping to meet growing demand for healthcare services across Melbourne’s outer east.
Kane thanks our clients VIDA Health and Eastern Health, our project partners, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers for their collaboration and contribution to the successful delivery of this important healthcare project.
