Kane Constructions is proud to mark the topping out of the community services building in Cobblebank, a significant milestone in the delivery of this landmark project for Melton City Council and the rapidly growing community of Melbourne’s west.
Located within the Cobblebank Metropolitan Activity Centre, the five-level development (plus a single basement level) will provide an integrated community facility designed to support essential services and long-term community growth.
The structure comprises a predominantly reinforced concrete frame, with glue laminated timber forming the Level 1 and Level 4 roof structures. Kane’s in-house division, Kane Structures, has self-delivered the concrete package, incorporating approximately 4,900m³ of concrete and 230 tonnes of steel reinforcement.
Sustainability has been a key focus, with the building designed to achieve a 5 Star Green Star rating in line with project requirements.
This milestone reflects the strong collaboration between Melton City Council, the consultant team and our subcontractor partners. Kane Constructions thanks all involved for their contribution to date and looks forward to continuing the delivery of this important community asset.
We thank our key consultants, RP Infrastructure (RPI), DesignInc and Taylor Thomson Whitting (TTW), along with our subcontractor partners for their strong collaboration and contribution in reaching this milestone and look forward to continuing delivery of this important community asset.
