Kane Constructions has been appointed to deliver the Mount Druitt Hub redevelopment for Blacktown City Council. With construction now underway, we are pleased to be transforming the existing community facility into a modern, accessible and connected destination for the local community.
Designed by Lacoste + Stevenson, the project will expand and revitalise the existing hub through the construction of a new two-storey extension to the north-east of the building, expansion of the library, a new library courtyard with an enclosed children's play area, library and multi-purpose function room, refurbishment of existing internal areas, improvements to circulation between the lower and upper floors, and upgrades to surrounding public spaces.
The redevelopment has been designed to strengthen connections between the building and the surrounding urban environment while providing flexible, contemporary spaces that support learning, community programs and social connection.
Kane will deliver the project in partnership with Blacktown City Council and Signature Project Management, creating an enhanced community hub that will serve the Mount Druitt community for years to come.
