Kane Constructions has been appointed to deliver the Mount Druitt Hub redevelopment for Blacktown City Council. Located in Mount Druitt, the project will expand and revitalise the existing community facility, enhancing library services, community spaces and connections to the surrounding public environment.
Works include construction of a new two-storey extension to the north-east of the existing building, expansion of the library on the lower level, a new library courtyard with an enclosed children's play area, library and multi-purpose function room, refurbishment of existing internal areas, improvements to circulation between the lower and upper floors, and upgrades to the surrounding external spaces.
Designed by Lacoste + Stevenson, the project will create a more accessible, connected and functional community hub that supports the growing needs of the Mount Druitt community.
