On Sunday, Kane team members came together at Catani Gardens in St Kilda to take part in the Melbourne Teams Corporate Triathlon, enjoying a great morning of teamwork, determination and camaraderie.
A total of 27 participants formed nine Kane teams, with seven teams competing in the full triathlon and two teams taking part in the fun triathlon.
The course featured a 300-metre open water swim at St Kilda Beach, a 10-kilometre cycle along Beach Road and a 4-kilometre run along the foreshore. With colleagues, family members and supporters cheering from the sidelines, the morning was filled with energy, encouragement and plenty of Kane team spirit.
The Melbourne Teams Corporate Triathlon has become a valued Kane tradition, bringing our people together outside the workplace and providing an opportunity to connect, challenge themselves and enjoy some friendly competition alongside industry peers.
There were several standout performances across the event:
- Shana Besanko, Emily Lascelles and Ava Karras recorded the fastest female fun relay time of 51:31, a fantastic achievement, particularly as first-time competitors.
- Adam Jeffery recorded Kane’s fastest individual time of 46:37, followed closely by Edward Wiencke and Zac Swan.
- In the full triathlon relay, Team 166 including Adam Jeffery, Daniel O'Leary and Zac Swan recorded Kane’s fastest team time, finishing in 2:34:58.
Congratulations to everyone who represented Kane on the day. It was wonderful to see so many team members getting involved, supporting one another and proudly representing Kane.
