Supporting Westmead Hospital’s NICU

18th August, 2026

Members of Kane Constructions NSW team recently visited Westmead Hospital to present two Sentec TCom+ Digital Monitors, funded through the team's fundraising efforts in partnership with the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.

The monitors will support babies receiving care in the hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), providing continuous, non-invasive respiratory monitoring that allows clinicians to assess patients in real time while reducing the need for frequent blood sampling.

Westmead Hospital is home to the largest NICU in New South Wales, caring for more than 1,500 babies each year from across Western Sydney and regional NSW.

The visit gave the Kane team an opportunity to learn more about the important work of the NICU and see firsthand how equipment funded through community fundraising can make a meaningful difference to patients, families and the healthcare professionals caring for them.

Over the past 12 months, more than $60,000 has been raised through Kane's fundraising efforts, helping to fund essential equipment for the hospital.

Kane is proud to support the communities in which we work and to partner with the Humpty Dumpty Foundation to help provide equipment that supports the outstanding work being undertaken at Westmead Hospital.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the fundraising efforts and helped make this donation possible.
