Kane Constructions was awarded the $10 million lump sum contract for the expansion and refurbishment of the former ATO office building on Bank Street, the largest commercial office building in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
The project comprised five levels of office accommodation and three levels of basement car parking. The exterior was transformed with a modern extended façade, new foyer, landscaped surrounds and two café outlets.
Each floor underwent a full refurbishment featuring new T5 lighting and roof terraces on Levels 3 and 5. The upgraded building achieved a 5 Star NABERS Energy rating, with floor-to-ceiling glazing providing abundant natural light and panoramic views.
Practical Completion was achieved in early 2015.
