Kane Constructions was awarded the $35 million Design and Construct contract in April 2019 to deliver the Baptcare The Orchards Stage 2 Independent Living Accommodation (ILA) and Community Hub, along with the Stage 3 Early Works package.
Located adjacent to the recently completed Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF), the Stage 2 development comprises a new five-storey building featuring a lower ground floor wellbeing centre, upper ground floor community hub, 33 apartments across the three upper levels, and an adjoining car park.
The wellbeing centre includes a 16m x 4m pool, gym and associated amenities, with a lift providing direct connection to the community hub above. Designed as the focal point of The Orchards community, the hub incorporates a restaurant, provedore, hairdresser, club lounge and multi-purpose room.
The project also included delivery of the Stage 3 Early Works package.
Baptcare The Orchards achieved Practical Completion in the second quarter of 2021.
