Kane Constructions has been awarded the $18 million Lump Sum contract to deliver a new paediatric emergency department inside the existing emergency department for Barwon Health.
The project will be delivered over three stages and the new paediatric emergency department will include 28 treatment spaces, including fast-track and short-stay beds. A separate triage system and waiting area is also being delivered along with new treatment rooms and support areas.
The facility has been designed to provide a private, calm and reassuring environment for children and their families.
This project is due to reach Practical Completion in late 2024.
