Kane Constructions has completed the refurbishment of Haven House Heathmont, helping revitalise a Lighthouse Foundation home, which has provided safety, stability and a sense of belonging for children and young people experiencing homelessness and trauma for 15 years.
Located in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs, the five-bedroom home plays an important role in Lighthouse Foundation's model of care, providing young people with a supportive environment, therapeutic care and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
Delivered in partnership with the Property Industry Foundation and Lighthouse Foundation, and project managed by Growthpoint Properties Australia, the refurbishment included upgrades to the home's kitchen, bathrooms, living areas, services, garage and landscaping. The improvements have refreshed the property, creating a more comfortable, functional and welcoming environment for its residents.
The project was made possible through collaboration across the property and construction industry, with Kane working alongside trades, suppliers and industry supporters who contributed their expertise and services, including at-cost and charitable contributions.
