Kane Constructions delivered the transformation of Henson Park into a premier sporting and community facility for Inner West Council, AFL NSW/ACT and RP Infrastructure.
The upgrade establishes Henson Park as the home ground for the Sydney Swans and GWS Giants AFLW teams. Works included the extension and refurbishment of the King George V Memorial Grandstand, delivering modern change rooms, amenities, medical and umpiring facilities, along with improved spectator areas and enhanced accessibility.
External paving and landscaping were also undertaken to integrate the upgraded facilities with the broader park environment, creating a welcoming space for both sporting and community use.
Henson Park now operates as a central venue for AFLW and community events, strengthening its role as a destination for sport and recreation in Sydney’s Inner West.
