Kane delivered critical enabling and infrastructure works at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton, supporting improved emergency access, patient transfer and hospital operations as part of the broader Monash Medical Centre Tower Expansion.

The project involved the construction of new and temporary access arrangements to maintain uninterrupted hospital functionality during major works. This included temporary Ambulance Victoria access roads and parking bays, a temporary Monash Children’s Hospital drop-off zone and entry, and the implementation of revised pedestrian pathways to ensure safe and efficient movement throughout the precinct.

Upgrades to the existing rooftop helipad were undertaken to support revised helicopter flightpath operations. These works included modifications to helipad line marking, lighting and signage, as well as alterations to roof access, services and structural elements to meet operational and safety requirements.

Delivered within a live hospital environment, the project required careful staging, planning and stakeholder coordination to ensure uninterrupted emergency and clinical services at all times.

These works support Monash Medical Centre’s ongoing expansion, improving access to specialised healthcare services and enhancing safety, operational efficiency and patient outcomes for the community.
