Kane Constructions was awarded the Design and Construct contract to deliver the Morningside State School, New Learning Centre project in 2020.
Works were delivered within the operational school campus and were completed in January 2021.
The Stage 1 scope of works included the construction of a new three-storey building consisting of:
- Six general learning areas (GLAs)
- Musical learning and practice spaces
- General amenities
- Storage across two levels with an open undercroft beneath. This is now a futureproofing feature
The existing heritage stone retaining wall and stairs situated in the new undercroft area remained protected during construction.
