Kane Constructions has been awarded the refurbishment of The Gordon TAFE City Campus to deliver the Centre of Excellence for Inclusion in Disability Health and Community Support.
Delivered under a Design & Construct contract, the project comprises refurbishment works across four levels of two existing buildings, including structural, civil and landscaping upgrades. The works are being delivered in multiple separable portions and carefully staged to ensure the campus remains fully operational throughout construction.
The Centre of Excellence will create a contemporary, inclusive hub for student support, teaching and sector collaboration, housing a Disability Resource Centre, Jobs Incubator and Student Hub, alongside expanded health training areas to improve employment outcomes for students with disability.
Works include opening a connected ground-level space linking the library and student support services, upgrading entry and amenity areas with improved vertical connections, expanding training environments and enhancing landscaped areas to the building frontage and central courtyard. The design prioritises intuitive wayfinding, welcoming interiors and strong connections to outdoor spaces to support accessibility and wellbeing.
Construction commenced in January 2026, with completion scheduled for mid-2027.
